Our Beliefs

about GOD

God is the creator and Ruler of the universe (Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 40:12-26, 46:8-11, 55:6-7, Acts 17:24-25).
He exists in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 6:9, 7:11, 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14).
These three are eternal, simultaneous, co-equal persons and are one God (Isaiah 6:3, Psalms 90:2, Genesis 3:22).

about JESUS

Jesus Christ is the only Son of God and co-equal with the Father. (John 1:1-5, 14:10-30)
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born to a virgin, lived a sinless human life, and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. (Matthew 1:20-23, Hebrews 4:15, Romans 5:8, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Romans 1:3-4)
He rose from the dead after three days; he ascended to God’s side and will return again to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. (Ephesians 1:19-20, 1Thessalonians 4:16, Isaiah 9:6, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Timothy 6:14-15)

about the HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. (2 Corinthians 3:17, 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16)
He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. (John 16:7-13, 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16, Galatians 5:25)
He also lives in every disciple of Jesus from the moment of salvation. (John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16, Ephesians 1:13-14)

about the CHURCH

The Church is the universal, living spiritual body of which Christ is the Head and all who are born again are members (1 Corinthians 12:12-13, Ephesians 2:19-22, 1 Peter 2:4-5).
We believe there is one church and anyone who has become a Christian according to God’s plan is a part of that one church (Ephesians 4:1-4, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13)
We believe the purpose of the church is to glorify God in this world by:
- Serving the poor and needy in and out of the church (Galatians 2:9-10, Matthew 23:11)

about the BIBLE

The Bible is God’s Word to all people. (2 Timothy 3:16, Psalms 12:6, Proverbs 30:5)
It was written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:20-21)
The Old and New Testaments are both the Word of God and fully inspired to be interpreted according to their context and purpose. (Psalms 119:105; 119:160, Romans 15:4, James 1:22)

about SALVATION

Salvation is a free gift from God to humanity (Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 Peter 1:3-5).
We believe that God has given us a plan of salvation: (Titus3:4-5, Acts 2:36-39, 17:24-31, Hebrews 10:10-14)
Only by believing in Jesus Christ can we be saved (John 14:6, Acts 8:36-38).
Repent of our sins (Luke 13:3-5, Acts 2:37-38)
Be baptized for the forgiveness of sins (Romans 6:3-4, Acts 2:37-38, 22:16)
